Emerson is a small town on the southern edge of Bartow County in the northwest suburbs of Metro Atlanta, Georgia and has found its place on the map primarily due to the LakePoint Sports facilities. This large sporting venue is quickly becoming a top destination for travel sports. LakePoint Sports host 1.1 million visitors annually on 1,300 acres and includes a 170,000 square foot multi-use facility. Serving sports year-round including: baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, gymnastics and cheer. LakePoint Sports is quickly becoming one of the largest sporting destinations in the country. Located just off of I-75, south of Cartersville, and only a 25-minute drive to the Atlanta Braves Stadium at Truist Park. The Battery also located at Truist Park features shopping, dining, nightlife and more. And, if you’re looking to venture into Atlanta, it is only another short 20-minute drive to downtown from Truist Park, depending on traffic of course. If you enjoy, fishing, boating, hiking or camping, you’ll find it all in Emerson. It is a great place to be! Emerson is the Gateway to Redtop Mountain State Park. This state park is surround by Lake Allatoona. Here you can escape and enjoy a world in the outdoors. Several museums are also nearby including: Tellus Science Museum which is fun for the whole family, Booth Western Art Museum & Savoy Automobile Museum. You can also discover Etowah Indian Mounds which are just a short drive from Emerson. This might be a small town but there is plenty to do! And, if you’re looking for some great old-fashion county cooking, try famous Doug’s Place Restaurant in downtown Emerson where you’ll find the best fried chicken!
