Affectionally known by the locals as ‘Beitzim’ (eggs), the cable car will take you up and back down the mountain, for a spectacular view of Mount Carmel and the Mediterranean Sea. If you are interested in a self guided walk, purchase a one way ticket up and walk back down the mountain (recommended before dark). Don’t forget to stroll through the wonderful Stella Maris Monastery before starting your descent. If you time it well, you can easily visit Elijah’s cave before returning home.
