Here are some of our favorite places to eat. Be sure to check Google before you leave to make sure the place you've selected is open - restaurants in Wickenburg often close by 8 pm and often take off on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Mexican food that is authentic with service that is usually on point as well. The Chili Relleno's are a popular choice. They also serve some wax chili's stuffed with shrimp and wrapped in bacon! If you have to pick one menu item during your stay that's the one I'd suggest - I've never seen it anywhere else

The food here is mostly excellent (though I've often found the full rack or ribs to be a bit dry, so I don't suggest that). They have a couple of good beers on tap. I recommend the brisket and the fried cheese curds.

Really interesting old-school drive in with a 50's vibe. Great burgers cooked to order, great sauces as well.

This is an easy one to miss. A boutique butcher shop that has AWESOME burgers, but only for lunch. The BLT is also surprising, and they sell a lot of interesting spices,

Sightseeing
People come from all over to hike the peak. The view is amazing. If you hike with gusto, from the place you park your car to the peak is 2-3 hours. Check alltrails.com for directions to the trailhead.

A popular off-road destination with running water all year long.
Great hiking, a true desert oasis. Also apparently one of the top bird-watching destinations in the southwest! Closes at 430 and charges a small fee per person.

Super cute, old-school theater that shows one movie at a time. Usually shows are at 7pm during the week with a 230 matinee on the weekends. Sometime's they'll screen classic westerns too! Check saguarotheater.com for showtimes and listings.

This is a beautiful public pool with a waterslide, a large lap swim area, and an actual deep end, which is rare these days. It's $2 per person, and the open swim is from 12-500 during the week and 11-500 on the weekends. Adult lap swim is Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30-930 a.m. Once school starts, it's only open on the weekends.

Again, how do we get a shop like this in Wickenburg? The owners are local and have placed in national cookie decorating contests. The cake bites are unbelievable!
