Parks & Nature
Allow 1 hour to travel there, 2 hours for the walk & 1 hour to get home.
A stunning walk along the coast. It's a great way to see some of our beautiful beaches & Sydney Lifestyle. It's really enjoyable and not a massive challenge. Easy to get there by public transport.
Take the train from Stanmore one stop to Newtown.
Exit Newtown station onto King Street, there's a bus stop a little to the left.
Take the 370 bus to its final stop at Coogee Beach.
Get off the bus & head to the coastal walk at the left
This walk will take you along the cliff tops though beautiful beaches like Clovelly, Tamarama, Bronte & end at Bondi. From there take a bus back to Bondi Junction and train home.

Go to your left for the actual park. There's still some construction going on. You'll pass this and arrive at Barangaroo. After a walk around, follow the water back to "The Rocks" - the oldest part of Sydney. You'll find the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) there. Lovely cafe on 4th floor with great views. It's a short walk from there to Circular Quay Station. Don't shop or eat in the Rocks (tourist trap)

Depending on your preference you can take a ferry to Manly and back. Nice but you will have seen better beaches on your coastal walk.
There's a ferry which goes to Tooronga Park Zoo. I'm not a big zoo visitor but you will definitely see all the Australian Wildlife. Tooronga Zoo is probably one of the best in the world. From the ferry dock there's a cable car which goes up through the Zoo - then you walk back down. Magnificent views!!
Another option is Cockatoo Island. Accessible by Ferry and in the middle of the harbour - very interesting history.

It's a long shopping street with excellent clothes, cafes, restaurants, eclectic crystal shops, wonderfulk book shops, organic foods, cinemas. And NO big brands!!! McDonalds opened a store in this street and then closed it because no one went there!! Just take a stroll
