Flat shoes for this elevated view home with stairs. Walking shoes for inclined neighborhood streets & mountain trails within a 5 minute walk. The trails are on the back side of the Angeles National Forest so watch for deer in the morning and coyote in the evening and snakes on hot summer nights.

When you come and visit Homestead California you’ll want to be ready for country living with only a few convenience stores and Restaurants, so make sure you bring all your conveniences with you for a restful or discovery stay.

Farming & Leisure. Drive through Leona Valley to see the Llama, bison & horse ranches. Coming up San Francisquito keep an eye out for the Ostrich farm. In Lake Hughes is the wolf Shadowland foundation and the Painted Turtle 6 miles away.  Make sure to map out any interests depending on the season. The California Poppy Reserve is minutes away. Lots of aerospace in the Antelope Valley just 30 minutes away to the cherry festival just 5 minutes away. Bird Hunts and shooting range are about 20 minutes away.

For young children this home is not baby proofed also being a 2 story home. Cabinets are not secure for Toddlers so bring separation gates to keep children away from stairs and kitchen area or any other area parents don’t find fits their child’s age group. The back is fenced but not to contain a child that wants to climb. Always bring your security with you for the appropriate age.
