Neahkahnie is a moderate uphill hike with spectacular views of Manzanita beach, Nehalem Bay and other points south. Located directly on Hwy 101, it is only a 15 minute drive from North Fork 53 and goes through several different microclimates within our rainforest ecosystem.

On your drive out to North Fork 53 from Portland or other points east, spend the day hiking up Saddle Mountain. A short hike, but steep grade gives this trail a "difficult" rating, but the reward is worth the effort. With 360 degree views of the Cascades and the ocean, this park is a great place to stop on your way in or way out of Nehalem.
