This is a very convenient shop just 3 minutes walk from the apartment. One can find all the daily necessities, food items, bread, milk etc at reasonable rates.

People ask me for a restaurant that serves tradition Maltese dishes. This one is the closest one and very popular with locals and travellers alike. It is just a half hour walk away from the apartment (along the seafront promenade) and during high season it is advised to book your table before going.

Sightseeing
Just 10 minutes with the bus, or a twenty five minute walk along the promenade towards Sliema, one can get on a ferry and cross over to Valletta instead of taking the bus. The ferry just costs 1.50euros for single fare one way. If it's not too hot, I always prefer to take the ferry into Valletta. Really good enjoy!

This is just 20/25 minutes walk away along the promenade, and it's my favourite swimming spot in this area. IT has smooth flat rocks that one can lie on. It is located at the mouth of the harbour and the sea is clean and deep here...across the harbour one can enjoy the backdrop of the Valletta skyline which is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. There are ladders for bathers to go into the water too. A mixed crowd usually hangs out here, mostly of young locals and holiday makers. There is a mobile van that serves mojitos, cocktails, smoothies and other cool drinks in the summer. This is one of my favourite swimming spots that is nearby.

Tigné Seafront

City/town information
Msida is the next town, just down the road from the apartment. It is about ten minutes walking distance from here. A lot of buses go through here, making it easy to get a connection to your destinations. Also, sometimes, the bus stop closest to the apartment is very busy, and with a long line of people waiting to get on the bus. Taking the bus from Msida gives you more choice of busses and makes it a lot easier.
