Much of Charleston can be enjoyed by long strolls down alleys and past grand old homes. The Battery is the very tip of the Charleston peninsula, at the end of East Bay. Stroll back up and catch Waterfront Park with it's iconic Pineapple Fountain, the Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, and the Historic Charleston City Market. Plenty of stores and places to grab a treat or lunch along the way.

Walkability Factor: 95

Many guests arrive from the airport and don't rent cars. There is so much to do in walking distance including food/drink/historical sites. Ubers are readily available as well. The City of Charleston also offers a free trolley called DASH that covers the peninsula - there is a stop a block away on King Street.
