Lovely gardens around the castle. There is a small museum in one of the buildings which has an excellent display of local history. Usually a spot and record eye spy for the younger ones! Atrium cafe also on site which I believe has decent food and coffee. Walk to top of ruins for amazing views.

Clitheroe Castle
Lovely gardens around the castle. There is a small museum in one of the buildings which has an excellent display of local history. Usually a spot and record eye spy for the younger ones! Atrium cafe also on site which I believe has decent food and coffee. Walk to top of ruins for amazing views.

Great French style restaurant. Early bird menu before 6pm too! Recently started offering Sunday lunch. Afternoon tea menu also. Will accept dogs at lunchtime I’ve been told.

Great little restaurant/ cafe. Booking essential for evenings but you can enjoy alfresco eating if weather permits without reservation. Also open at lunchtimes. Homemade Greek food, ample portions. Received many awards

A ten minute car journey over Waddington fell. We love this pub. Great prices for the area, great Sunday lunches. Like going back in time! Homemade puddings. Great pate! Recommend the lamb shank.
