There is a local bus company, "Chapala"

Busses go from Chapala to Jocotepec, or you can even catch a first-class or "scenic" second-class bus to Guadalajara, if you have 45 min to spare. Local buses come into San Antonio right to the downtown square where the studios are located.

Pack hiking boots if you're into nature.

There are nice hiking routes around you can hike the Chupinaya, a good 3-hour hike up which can have many ways to come down through.

San Antonio is a hidden gem in the Ribera, has it's own malecon and eventhough smaller than Chapala and Ajijic it's worth a visit.
