Food scene

Delicious and fresh sushi as well as a host of other dishes are available at this all-you-can-eat restaurant just a few minutes' drive from our place. There are tons of tables and booths - we have never waited to be seated. Lunch is a good value, and if you go for dinner don't miss crème brulée for dessert!

Neighbourhoods

The pedestrian-only Distillery District, set in quaint 19th century buildings that once housed a large whiskey distillery, draws crowds to its cobblestone streets lined with hip indie restaurants, bars and boutiques. Art lovers come for the galleries, outdoor sculptures and dance, music and stage performances at the area's several theatres. In December, the annual Toronto Christmas Market takes over the streets. The Distillery District is interesting to visit any time of year, but especially beautiful when they host the Christmas Market! There are delicious food vendors, hot chocolate and mulled wine for sale, beautiful lights, and a massive Christmas tree decked out with the biggest ornaments you've ever seen. The Christmas market also boasts a carousel and ferris wheel, live performances through the evening, and you can do some gift shopping or treat yourself from the many unique gift stalls. Don't count on a sit-down meal in the restaurants here unless you have a reservation. https://www.thedistillerydistrict.com/
