City/town information

Tisno is a small, quaint village of 2000 people. Part of the village is located on the mainland, and part of it is on the island of Murter. The two parts of the village are connected by a draw bridge, that goes up every morning during summer to let bigger boats pass through. The old part of the village is located across the bridge, with the post office, hotel Borovnik, several ATMs, and many coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores. A pharmacy and a doctor's office are located right before the bridge. Tisno has 4 churches, 2 of which are located up on a hill and offer a nice view to the village and Kornati islands.

Water shoes

Sea urchins are common around our beaches. They are the ones who keep our sea crystal clean and we appreciate them for their job. We recommend wearing water shoes to avoid stepping on the urchins.
