Parks & Nature
Watson’s Bay is located at the South Head of Port Jackson Harbour. You can take the ferry to Watson’s Bay, buy fish and chips on the wharf. A pleasant spot is at Camp Cove beach on the other side of the peninsula, only a 10 minute walk from the wharf. You can sit on the grassy knoll watching the Manly ferries go by whilst eating your fish and chips. Camp Cove Beach is to the right. It is named Camp Cove as in 1788, Governor Phillip with his first fleet camped there for 2 weeks resting and carrying out repairs.
