There is a free ferry ("overzetboot") that goes to Linkeroever. From the stop you could take a walking path to Sint Anneke Plage. Locals call it a 'beach', so when the sun is shining they like to dream that they really are at the seaside. With the attached places to eat 'mosselen met frietjes' (mussels with Belgian fries), Belgian waffles (‘Brusselse wafels’ or ‘Luikse wafels’), grab an ice cream, ... the sea could be close by, if you'd only dare to dream together with the people from Antwerp ...
