Food Scene

The owners of this small restaurant used to make meals for a traveling circus and for scientists in Antartica. The restaurant is very small, sits 20. The waits after 9:00a.m. do get lengthy, however if you have some time they have the best breakfast in town. The building has many things to look at, the bathroom is something you'll FB or Snap about, and the owners (Husband cooks every meal, Wife and crew does front end) will crack you up!

This is a go-to restaurant to get Russian pel'menis. It's really a go to place for a late night beer absorption efforts. The food is tasty, but I haven't had the food in the daylight.

This pizza joint is pretty good, especially since they offer a $7.99 Large 2-Topping carry out. Totally worth the value. They have a few arcade games and plenty seating, so it's a good value if you have some time to hangout in a pizza joint.

If you like Poke then you'll like this place! Fresh Ahi daily. Take a walk on the Trails afterwards (off 10th Street) or explore downtown Fairhaven; definitely stop here for lunch.

My favorite bar downtown. It's an open biergarten concept with a cover pergola. In the covered area they have 2 large screens and it seems they are always showing soccor games! In the back, they have cornhole and other games. Dogs and children allowed. But after 8:00p.m. it gets packed! Best vibe bar downtown!!! Super Fun!

My favorite dive bar. Free popcorn right at the door. Order a drink you can get no whereelse: Peruvian Bear F*****er. Just ask for it. They'll make it. And they won't give you any werid looks.

This is a 35-minute drive (south) of our home. This is an amazing, 18-hole disc golf course with long, mid, and short drives. It's a great layout. During Spring, Summer it's dry. During Fall and Winter (if it rains 3+days in a row) it gets a little swampy. Nevertheless, if you like disc golf this is my go to course.

A wonderful 1-2 mile walk on Bellingham bay. If you want a longer walk, you can venture into Fairhaven by going south, and the trail takes you onto 10th Street, or walk north and the trail will take you downtown. There's a 1/2 mile elevated pedestrian walk-way that goes over the bay. It's a very nice place for a wonderful walk, with a great view, and a nice coffee and pastry at Woods on the trail.

You'll want to go prior to 10a.m. or earlier to get parking. The parking is on the side of the highway/shoulder. If you make it, this hike is very challenging for the first 1/2 mile (you probably go 500 feet). It then becomes a moderate hike. At the junction, go left for a more strenuous Oyster Dome hike with a view of the San Juan Islands, or go right for a moderate to easy hike with an amazing 270-degree view of Skagit Valley from up high! Both are great. The Oyster Dome lookout is just more strenous.
