Clean and modern with large windows that fill the space with natural light, the home is built to highlight the unparalleled views. A fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area, washer and dryer and designated workspace also make this an ideal rental for professionals. Touches of the latest technology will give tech-savvy guests ample stories to tell their friends, from the refrigerator that talks to you to the tankless toilet/bidet operated by remote control! Heat pumps in the living room and front bedroom keep guests cozy through the winter months and cool the space down quickly in summertime.

When we say "true privacy" we mean the Salty Maiden is private enough that you can enjoy a skinny-dip in the pool or hot tub or even a Polar Bear Dip "au naturel"! Neighbours' homes are visible but not close by, and the cottage is at the end of a long private driveway.

With impeccable cleaning and sanitization protocols we welcome guests seeking a location to carry out a 2 week quarantine and can assure you, you won't find a better place to do it!

The Salty Maiden cottage has been a labour of love and I can't wait to share this truly unique property with you! I'm an entrepreneur with my hand in several different pots, but most of my day-to-day work involves corporate training and consulting on psychological health and safety in the workplace. Privacy is one of the Salty Maiden's best features and you'll find more exciting things to do on the property than hang out with me! I'm always happy to help guests any way I can during their stay. My cell phone number is included in the Welcome Booklet and guests should feel free to phone or text if I can do anything to make their stay more comfortable.

Depending on the length of your stay I may need to visit the property to adjust hot tub and pool chemicals. I will coordinate the visit with you to ensure it doesn't encroach on your leisure time.

Guests should be aware that during the winter months, a contracted company will come to the property to plough and sand the driveway and hand shovel the doorsteps after snowstorms. The crew will typically come early enough that guests won't be storm-stayed, however none of us can control the challenges of extreme weather. Please let me know if you have weather concerns and I'll do everything I can to accommodate your needs. During the spring, summer and early fall months, the same crew takes care of the cutting the grass which may happen during your stay. They are very efficient and will be on site for less than a half hour.
