This cozy casita has a studio-style setup with its own private entrance. We have worked hard to create a functional and charming space that is perfect for your next getaway and hope you will love it as much as we do. Our home has a great pool and patio that you are invited and encouraged to share. We are located close to downtown Tempe (approximately 1 mile), where you can enjoy all the fun that the college town has to offer.

The casita is located on a cul de sac on the edge of downtown Tempe, making for a quiet retreat that is just close enough to all of the action. It is just over 1 mile to get to Mill Avenue and less than a 10 minute drive to PHX Sky Harbor International Airport.

We are within a 15-minute drive of several great attractions:
-Tempe Diablo Stadium- home of the Angels during spring training
-Sloan Park- home of the Cubs during spring training
-Tempe Beach Park, where several great events are held throughout the year
-Papago Park and Golf Course
-The PHX Zoo
-The Desert Botanical Garden
-ASU Gammage
-The starting line for Pat's run and PF Chang's Rock-n-Roll half marathon (and finish line for the full marathon)

I was born and raised in a small town in Wisconsin (so small that they just got their first stoplight when I was in high school!) After high school, I ran away to what seemed like a big city at the time to study Speech-Language Pathology and Spanish at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After that, I found myself sweating in the desert when I got my masters degree in Tucson. Eventually, I made my way to Tempe, Arizona, where my husband and I currently spend our free time remodeling our new house, running ultramarathons, and biking through the city. On top of all of that, we still manage to find time to go on backpacking adventures and visit friends and family all over the US.

We have a happy life and are excited to share a little bit of it with our AirBnB guests.

Clearly, my husband and I are busy-bodies. That is generally our traveling style as well. We like to take in as many sights as possible.

Since we live in the main house, you may see us outside gardening, using the pool, or working on a project. However, we are very sensitive to our guests’ privacy (so don’t worry, we won’t ask you for help, but we will say, “Hi!”).
We ask that guests use the Airbnb messaging service should you need to contact us during your stay. If you want, we are more than happy to provide recommendations on the city that we love and call home. Additionally, we will provide you with a comprehensive binder that outlines all of our favorite spots and activities.
