Private, completely self-contained suite (no shared doors or airflow etc). The suite has a separate front entrance plus a back door to the lower patio/backyard. This large one bedroom apartment has separate heat, and is a clean and quiet space. It decorated in the ‘shabby chic’ style and is the ground level of a quaint home in Lynn Valley (the North Shore of Vancouver). The space is best suited for 1-2 people, however we do accommodate a third person/infant or child for an additional per-night fee. Guests have the entire private suite to themselves which includes a kitchen, dining room, living room (with large sofa, 40" TV/cable, wifi), and bathroom (with updated shower). The large bedroom has a queen size bed. A comfy 6 inch thick single memory foam fold-out floor mattress is also available.

The kitchen space includes full-size stove, fridge, microwave, all dishes/pots, utensils, etc, plus for short-term guests: paper towels, aluminum foil, dish soap, coffee/tea, salt/sugar/spices, oil/vinegar, etc. The bathroom has an updated shower and includes a blow dryer, additional linen, and for shorter term tenants: shampoo/conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, hand soap/hand cream, etc and other toiletries, are provided and replenished (within reason).

*For guests staying 14+ days, a few items are provided to get you started!However replacements/refills/top-ups will be the responsibility of tenants.

🐾 Well behaved pets and their responsible guardians are also welcome on approval/fee ($20 per pet/per night but less for longer stays). *This is charged separately. For shorter term guests, we even provide pet bowls, towels, dog bed, dog waste bags, treats, etc. (within reason 🐶)

*Any approved pet must be well behaved (ie: no chewing, marking/spraying, scratching etc). Dogs must be leashed at all times when not in the suite to ensure the boundaries of the resident cat/dog. I also ask that pets not go on the furniture/bed, or to be left alone in the suite if there's a chance they have separation anxiety. I do provide extra pet linens to assist with this. We can discuss all these options for your particular furry family member 🐱

Did you forget your umbrella, raincoat, beach chair, beach towel, backpack, sunhat, hairdryer, clothes iron, etc etc? We have that too!

CLEANING/SANITIZING
*I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights:

-all high-touch surfaces sanitized.
-extra cleaning supplies provided, so you can clean as you stay
-the suite complies with all local laws, including any additional safety and cleaning guidelines

*LONGER OFF-SEASON OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE. November-March longer short term rental options could be available for suitable tenants. Questions? Share with me your circumstances and we can discuss!!

Eclectic neighbourhood with a variety of newer and more mature homes. Lovely neighbours, both young and old! Our street is a long cul-de-sac location with homes on the north side of the street (including this house) backing on to a trail/park with creek. The trail out back branches off to take you in different locations within the neighbourhood. No car, no problem! Loads to do/access within a 10-15 minute walk...*see the 'getting around' section below...

-Want to explore The North Shore, including Lynn Canyon, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Deep Cove, Grouse Mountain, West Vancouver Ambleside/Seawalk, and more? Bring your walking/hiking gear!

-Have a bike? Bring that with you! World class trails right out the door.

-Ski / snowboard / snowshoe? Bring your gear! We are within 10 min drive of all North Shore mountains and 45 min to Squamish, 1.5 hr to Whistler/Blackcomb.

-Kayak or canoe? Lots of water everywhere! *rental options nearby and in town.

-Want to play squash, tennis, or pickleball? Several indoor courts, plus free outdoor tennis/pickleball courts within blocks!

-Want to see all that the City of Vancouver has to offer including world-class restaurants, Stanley Park/Seawalk, Chinatown, Granville Island, Gastown, Yaletown, Van Duson Botanical Gardens, beaches, and more? Come prepared to explore!

Hi - I love people, and I love where I live! I am an animal lover and I am long time vegetarian/vegan. I am interested in people and their stories and I am accepting of all beliefs. My degree is in communications and psychology and I worked in education for over 26 years. I like to travel but I am also really connected to home. Friends and family are all nearby, and we dog walk/hike on our beautiful trails everyday. I'm also an avid pickleball player, so bring your paddle...lots of drop in courts in the area! If you mountain bike or ski, or even kayak/stand up paddle board, etc, this is also the place to be with everything within minutes away ...I love where I live and it's been so fun sharing it with people from all over the world!

I'm so lucky to have North Vancouver / Lynn Valley as my home...come check it out, BUT, beware...once you've visited, you won't want to leave ;-)

If timing works out on both sides, it would be great to connect to share some ideas on sights in the area, chat about pets (I’m a part time sitter/dog walker), or other things, like Pickleball (I’m a certified coach)! We have been fortunate enough to connect with many guests, and some have even become good friends! Others prefer privacy and sometimes we won’t even see each other for the whole visit, and that's ok too...whatever works out, we can navigate together and make it the best stay possible for everyone ;-)
