If you enjoy surfing this beach in the north will be your favourite . This beach of lava sand is known for its big waves and strong currents, so you have to be careful. You can access this beach by car. There are also a few restaurants in the surroundings.

El Socorro is a black sand surf beach, accessible by car 2.5km, easy to get there just following the signs on the highway. Good to go there to relax, do exercise, play, swim, surf and more. Big waves there, or not so big if the sea is calm. In the worst case scenario you could always get wet in the shore; just follow the life guard indications. It is also possible to get there hiking though the coast, but there is part which is not too comfortable to walk cause you have to walk over the big stones of the shore. It approximately takes 2 hours.

Great beach for surfing. Can be very busy at the weekend and when there are good waves. it is best to come early to get parking. Close to Puert de la Cruz, 36min by car from flat.
