The museum at Bethel Woods allows you to travel back in time to the 1969 Woodstock Festival that occurred over a three day weekend in August with 500,000 people in attendance. Hit bands such as the Grateful Dead, Santana, The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jefferson Airplane, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Jimi Hendrix, and many others played on the local grounds.
