The perfect place to relax! A peaceful and sheltered bay with a rustic beach-side tavern offering freshly caught fish and fresh local products (highly recommended!). As this is a long way from Agia Efimia area (around 40 km) we warmly recommend to spend a day and explore the natural beauty of the Lixouri Peninsula and the monastery of Kipouria with breathtaking views across the Ionian Sea.

Brilliant place to have a swim and a drink or something light to eat..I call it Maldives in Kefalonia...sandy floor and thatched roof.. The kids can play on the beach.

One long walk option: From Vatsa, to walk towards the West, you may take a self driven free platform to cross to the other side of the river. From there you can walk through the amazing scenery, great for birdwatching, towards the picturesque lighthouse of Gerogombos.
