The bridge is one mile long but recent additions created a much longer walking path. It will bring you to one of the state park entrances of Olana on the Hudson side or down into the heart of Catskill at the Thomas Cole house on the west side. Beautiful views of the Hudson River. Sometime you can see the massive cargo ships that leave from Port of Albany.

A 2-minute walk from the cottage is the RVW bridge that connects Greene and Columbia Counties. If you're looking for a cool walk and aren't afraid of heights, check it out! No dogs allowed on bridge unfortunately.

A parking area is on the Columbia County Side and you can walk the pedestrian lane (Separated from vehicle lanes) over the river
