Steam train rides on Sundays from the Sunol train depot down Niles Canyon and back. Check schedules online before you go. We especially recommend the Train of Lights at night during the winter holiday season.

Train of Lights. The annual Train of Lights returns this holiday season, offering a 1.5-hour-long-round-trip journey through Niles Canyon. Its antique coaches and open cars, expertly decorated and filled with music and refreshments will put everyone i a festive mood. W, F, Sa, and Su Nov 19-Dec 28 (except Xmas Eve and Xmas Day).
