This is a 12-minute drive from Fernwood and very close to Highland Brewing. This public park sits on the banks of the Swannanoa River. This section of the river sees a light current, so it is conducive to a nice dip in the water on a hot day. The City of Asheville maintains the park, so there are restrooms available, and the area is well-maintained. It's a great location for a picnic lunch.
