At the top, the trail offers a spectacular panoramic view of the National Park, as well as the Llano de Maja. It is a good place to appreciate the action of the sea of clouds contributed by the trade winds over the Valley of La Orotava. Likewise, La Palma can be seen and, to the east, the facilities of the astronomical and meteorological observatories of Izaña. The descent runs along the wall of the caldera next to the volcanoes of Arenas Negras, picón cones that are little colonized by vegetation.
