Best swimming beach for young kids with roped off swimming area and lifeguard on duty. Teens can be found jumping off the pier and climbing back up one of the ladders to jump again! Nice sandy beaches and picnic area on grass near pier at Blackie Spit park. One of the best bird sanctuaries with a 5 km trail with a self guided 2 hour walk. Dog Off-leash area is fully fenced and east of main parking lot and tennis courts behind the washroom. Dog Off-leash swimming area along the shoreline is fully fenced in and found at the far north end of the gravel parking lot past the paved lot and picnic area. Kayak rentals and outdoor swimming pool,tennis courts, washrooms, outdoor shower to rinse off after your swim. Free parking lot at the end of McBride Avenue. Street parking also available in the area.
