The first tourists who arrived in the Canary Islands made it to this place, which has not lost its intimate marine flavor despite the hundreds of thousands of travelers it receives each year. It still has its fishing pier intact, where the boats arrive with the fresh fish early. Sitting in the Plaza del Charco is a sublime pleasure. Or have an ice cream in one of the endearing ice cream shops in the surrounding area. Then there is the privilege of watching the waves break on the coast of San Telmo, with the spectacular Lago Martiánez in the background. And all that makes up a wonderful postcard.

Die bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten im nordwestlichen Puerto de la Cruz sind wohl der Botanische Garten und der Loro Park, der immer zahlreiche Besucher anzieht. Im Norden ist Puerto ein beliebtes Zentrum, das allerhand zu bieten hat und zudem über schöne Strandabschnitte verfügt.
