Your stay is within 5 minutes to Traveler's Rest Historic Site - a beautiful historic home that is sometimes open for interior tours. The grounds alone are also beautiful to explore.
If you enjoy history, this is a step back in time. Originally built in 1750's, this inn tells the story of a stage coach inn well before the civil war, and the family that owned it until 1950s. Built along the one of the main stagecoach thoroughfares of the day. Step back in time historically, off the beaten path. Inn open for tours on Sat but property can be visited for an outside, self guided tour any day. Special reenactment events at Christmas and in spring. Check the Toccoa chamber of commerce for dates.
