An old Cape Town favourite, Societi survived a move from the bustling waterfront to it's rather more hidden spot on Orange Street. It serves European-style cuisine, often with a local twist. Top notch service, paired with a good wine list make it a great spot for some fine dining or a romantic evening, not too far from the cottage.

is a casual Italian/French bistro that serves a wonderful mushroom risotto – it has a great al fresco space for long summer lunches and is cosy inside by the fireplaces in winter.

This is a little bit more upmarket, but completely worth it! Their lamb shank is incredible.
