This beach is one of the best in Tenerife: wild, gold sand and astonishing sunsets. It is also known as "Hippie Beach". This is because in the past many hippies actually used to live here in peace, at the beach or in the close by caves. Now, they do not live here directly anymore, but it is still a place where people from the island like to go. Usually, there is even a stand where you can buy a drink or a cocktail for some cash. To get here you will have to do a little hike. Leave the car in La Caleta, and then hike up the mountain. Pass by the first stony beach called "Playa de Los Morteros", walk up the mountain again and then you will see "Playa Diego Hernández". Note: It is best if you wear sporty shoes and watch your feet while walking!

It's a beautiful beach with crystal clear water. It takes a 10 minute hike to reach, and is nudist friendly.
