Puerto de la Cruz is an enjoyable break from the South of the Island. We sometimes have a week-end break up here. Note that while there is a lot of street parking its also very hard to find a space to park in the main down-town and beach areas. Look for paid parking to make your life easier.

Explore Puerto de la Cruz. Nestled in the beautiful region of the Orotava Valley (of lush green landscape and tropical fruit plantations) this quaint old town has a distinct Canarian character. Much of the area around the old fishing port is full of narrow cobbled streets lined with traditional cafés and bars. The harbour is also a lovely place to visit. Additionally, there is a selection of high-end boutiques, charming squares and many tourist attractions located all over the resort (including the zoo and marine theme park, Loro Parque).

Puerto de la Cruz is much more cultural than the villages in the South. Filled with lovely parks and gardens, very good restuarants and bars. Some fantastic street artists and enterntainment at every corner. A great town to spent a day!

A beautiful city and a tourist attraction of its own. We recommend you to go to the beach there if the weather allows it our maybe go to "Loro Parque"
