Hermit Thrush Brewery is a local brewery that creates Belgian-inspired and barrel-soured ales and fruit beers. Founded by Christophe Gangné and Avery Schwenk in 2014, the brewery has quickly gained a reputation for noteworthy sour and wild ale recipes, which are made using sustainable processes and renewable energy.

Popular little brewery for Sour Beers (and I do mean SOUR) in downtown Brattleboro. Stop on for a tasting. Takeaway beers are expensive and cheaper in surrounds markets (the food co-op usually has a decent selection) so only buy a can if it's something not widely distributed. I love any of their gin barrel aged selections. It pairs nicer with the sours than the bourbon barrels (in my opinion),but try for yourself!

A super cool outdoor spot to try out local made sour beers. They have a rotating menu of sour beers (and usually hard seltzers) and you can also do a tasting flight. A super cool spot on a back street in Brattleboro!
