www.mandalaklub.com, lots of jazz/music stuff going on so check the site but they have a great Indian restaurant with the most tender chicken in town...really !

Not haute cuisine but a fun evening out - good atmosphere, mutant portions and humungous flagons of beer. It's close by the Old town and if full go to Mexican next door.

Down from Old Town to Nowy Swiat is a good walk with plenty to see. You'll be ready for a coffee and a famous doughnut when you reach this Warsaw landmark ( very good breakfasts too )

My favourite park and one of my favourite places ...it's on every tourist map. Take some nuts to feed red squirrels and blue tits by hand. Sunday there is a Chopin recital ... well worth it.

Warsaw's latest glossy attraction is a modern Science museum. I haven't been been there ( yet ) but the kids have and they all like it. It's close by too.

Uncle Joe's gift to Poland is a like it or hate it landmark. Well I quite like it and you should try and get to the top. It's close to the big Mall and the Main RailwayStation for your Krakow tickets.

Well I like 'crate-digging' so I figure some you should do so too - Warsaw's best ( and most cramped ) old vinyl store.

OK I shouldn't really recommend a mall but it's raining.. there's a cinema, loads of shops, food court, the designs quite cool..it's all here
