It is a nice 10-15 minute walk from the Airbnb through the historic Strathcona neighbourhood. Great family owned place for pizza and beer.

A great bar with a fantastic selection of local beer. They offer a full pub and dinner menu too. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Airbnb. The owner also has two other establishments, Brassneck brewing in Mount Pleasant is one of my favourite breweries and the Magnet bar is located in 'crosstown.'

Sightseeing
Stanley Park is a famous tourist destination for good reason. It is beautiful and as a local I'm still discovering new parts of the park. I'd recommend getting there by bike. If you head west on Alexander st. (two blocks North of the bnb) you will get to CRAB park, keep biking past it,(it's a bit of an odd route at first and you will actually go under the Vancouver Convention Center). You will reach a fork and should turn right, that will take you right to the seawall.

If you are interested in taking a day trip to an island off of Vancouver, Bowen is a short ferry ride away and there are some nice hikes and spots to visit on the Island.
You would want to take the number 4 or 7 bus downtown and then catch a 250 express bus on Georgia st. This will take you to Horseshoe bay where you can catch ferries to Bowen, Gibson's or Vancouver Island.
