Bring some cash for the coconut guy on the way up the drive, he offers cold pineapple as well with story. Enter the exit if you cannot walk as far otherwise the brudduh needs to walk down the whole entry path (0.4 mile loop not bad on paved foot path with some multi-steps. Restrooms and picnic tables are above near the parking lot. Free parking if you park on the side of the road. Small walk to entry. Bring water!

The most beautiful drive with incredible views and water ways with plush tropicals. My favorite drive into the most beautiful place on Earth! Stop at a little smoothie shack and sandwiches called, "What's shakin", farm fresh! Open 7 days from 10am-3pm. Down the Windward side heading towards the Hamakua Coastline starting at Papaikou driving up to Pepeekeo towards the Sugar Mill. Total beauty, our favorite escape. We suggest you go later in day, eat at lodge or bring food, hike the Thurston Lava Tube, see the Mauna Loa Caldera (you may walk down on the Caldera here), Evening starts and you drive to the Kilauea Caldera (NO ENTRY WALKING ON KILAUEA CALDERA) and night viewing is magic. Look for Pele's face to emerge from the smoke. Take a quick steam bath when you see on the left driving in, the vents that billow caused when ground water seeps down to the hot volcanic rocks and generates continuous plumes of steam. $30.00 per vehicle good for 7 days and receipt can also be used in Kona for the City of Refuge. Save your receipt. Veteran & Senior (62 yrs) discounts. Day & Night entry as well as the hiking is a favorite! Daytime Hike, Night Time Views!

Books in the basket "Big Island pamplet's have 10% off coupons. Turtle in Hawaiian language is HONU. Send Honu loving vibrations Brudduh but it's invasive to touch and harass them. Have fun!
