Serious Americana nostalgia vibes here. Think, if your super cool aunt rented a storefront next to a gas station, painted the concrete floor hot pink with glitter, and made scrumptious versions of a 1990's public school lunch menus on folding tables in the back. You can even buy homemade cookies sold in Ziploc baggies, just like momma packed as a snack. Seriously good produce is also always available. Somehow their tomatoes transcend the laws of physics -- how can a tomato the size of a softball still taste as succulent and flavorful as an heirloom grape tomato plucked off the vine? Located just a block from the MCM Studio, it's well worth moseying over there.

A laid-back coffee shop specializing in drinking chocolates and various elixirs. Serving locally sourced vegan baked goods, herbal products, and various CBD-infused comestibles. The kind of place where white women with dreads lead chakra alignment workshops or cacao ceremonies if you catch my drift. Be sure to catch Berkeley Grimball, podharpist, on a Tuesday morning as he plays his fantastical self-fashioned instrument built from the seed pod of a palm tree.

Thrifting and antique shops

Fantastic charity shops that directly support non-profits and local communities abound in the Tampa Bay area. Antique and vintage design market culture runs deep, as well.
Excellent finds that benefit a phenomenal mission! The Thrift Store provides donated clothing, furniture, and household goods to people with extremely low-income living in St. Petersburg, and sells the remainder of the merchandise at low-cost to the community. This is done through a voucher system conducted by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conferences in South Pinellas County. These vouchers enable clients to obtain furniture and clothing free of charge to meet their household needs. Close to 90% of every dollar spent in the Thrift Store goes back into the housing programs that give individuals, families, and veterans a hand up from homelessness.
