Sightseeing

Not only is this a historic and important place for Muslim visitors, but it also overlooks the seasonal salt lake where crowds of flamingos spend their winter. Look for flamingos and other birds when the lake fills during the brief rainy season. (November-April). If you plan on entering the mosque grounds, dress appropriately. (shorts and bare shoulders are not acceptable) Ladies will need a scarf to cover their heads.

Rental Car, Taxi or Bus

The best and easiest way to get around Cyprus is by rental car. You will need to drive on the left. Taxi service is relatively inexpensive, however, meters are not universally used (even though they are supposed to be.) Use the app Bolt or the app CABCY to book a taxi. Bus service can be slow and unreliable. Check the schedule for route 429. Nirvana Seaside Gardens is Perivolia Tourist Area stop #5.
