Sightseeing

Goose Rocks Beach is easily one of the best beaches in southern Maine. Miles of clean white sand and gentle waves make this a favorite with walkers, sightseers, and families. Be sure to purchase a parking pass (at the kiosk mid-beach) to park on the street. There is a public restroom located at Tides Beach club about mid-beach.

Some wishing to catch a glimpse of "U.S. Royalty" may want to take a drive down Ocean Ave. to see the beautiful residence of late president George Bush Sr. and their family. House aside, there are some of the best ocean views and scenic pull-offs to enjoy the seabreeze.

Parking in town

Parking in town can prove difficult during peak-season. We recommend either trying the public lot (paid) behind Alisson's Restaurant in Dock Square, or if you don't mind a short walk (1/4 mile) the free municipal lot next to the fire station. On street parking is available but is first come first serve.

Beach Parking

Parking at Goose Rocks Beach is limited to designated spots along the road. These are all paid spots that you must pay in advance for. You can purchase day or week-long passes from the town hall, or two kiosks located on the beach and Goose rocks beach General Store. Sticker must be permanently affixed to the vehicle (One pass per vehicle; no sharing or swapping allowed) you intend to park at the beach and failure to comply with the parking rules or parking without a pass will result in a fine. The town does employ parking attendants to continually monitor the proper usage of passes.
