It seems like the whole world has discovered Carmel Valley and the village and particular in just the last few years. One fact that I think says volumes about this place? There are no stoplights in Carmel Valley Village! As valleys go, Carmel Valley is quite narrow. which gives it a special, intimate je ne sais quoi. Warm days and cool nights (except when it's not!:)
Unlike the Monterey Peninsula, Carmel Valley is usually warm and sunny during the day. Expect the temperatures to drop significantly once the sun goes behind the ridge. Most nights, coastal fog rolls in around nine and leaves at around seven to eight a.m. the next day (this is not a hard and fast rule and it is a seasonal description of the spring, summer, and fall). If you're heading to Carmel, check the weather and don't base your attire on what feels good at the Meadowhouse! Temperatures are often 10 to 12° cooler, and I have experienced 40° temperature swings from here to the coast!
