Walking Trails in Cyprus and Sightseeing

If you love the outdoors, if you really want to explore this beautiful island and if you are a regular walker of average fitness, put on your hiking boots, grab a bottle of water, put on your sunscreen and hat and venture out to nature. You will be rewarded by stunning views and off the beaten-track gem villages. If you attempt on your own, I strongly recommend that you follow one of the many designated trails which are mostly well signposted, in order to enjoy the Mediterranean character of Cyprus.
Zigzag your way to the Acropolis through the ruins admiring at the same time stunning views of Limassol Bay. At the top of the Acropolis, see the place of worship of Aphrodite and a replica of the colossal cistern. Walk along the fenced perimeter enclosing the ancient Agora, until you reach the next hill with exclusive residential development. Visit the cave chapel of Santa Barbara hidden among posh villas. Extend your walk to the Agios Tychonas promenade until you reach the St Raphael Marina. Walk back along the paved, beach walkway, go past seafront cafeterias and back gardens of five star hotels until you reach your starting point. Easy to medium difficulty because of the loose stone path on the Acropolis.
