Parks & Nature
Super close to the house and a big bang for your time. Parking is a little nuts as the lot is small, and they are reducing the amount of parking on the side of the road. Might find more parking on the way up the road before you actually get to the falls. They just completed the stairs so it's even easier to hike to the top. Because it's a two-tiered waterfall, it qualifies as one of the highest waterfalls in NY and one the Eastern US's tallest waterfalls.

4545 Route 32, Palenville - just down to the light by Story's Farm and take a right. It's a stretch to say 'nightlife' but they have an in-house brewery and some of the best homemade chicken tenders my kid has ever had! Moist and fluffy! And the beer is good.
