Very good Malaysian Restaurant at the very reasonable price range. Asam Laksa is my favorite, and satay is also very nice. Everything else is also quite good.

Personally, I think their halibut fish & chips are the best in Vancouver. Bring it to Green Leaf brewing and have it with some craft beer. My favorite quick bite and drink.

They changed their name to GAHYANGRU now. If you are in for something different, try this place. It is a Koreanized Chinese Restaurant. So common in Korea, but not known much outside of Korea. I like their Jajangmyeon(black bean paste noodle), Jjambong(Spicy seafood noodle soup), Tangsooyuk(Sweet and sour Pork), Palbocheabob(stir fried spicy seafood on rice)

Parks & Nature
I personally prefer this one to the famous Capilano suspension bridge. Take a short walk in the typical Vancouver forest to 30 foot pool, and feel the coldness of water from the mountain top glacier.

My favorite light hiking course in North Vancover.
After watching the hatchery, go across the river, and follow the trail to the viewing deck of Cleaveland dam. And then follow the Giant Fir Trail to see the huge douglas fir, supposedly aged more than a thousand years. Keep walk up to the top of the dam, and enjoy the beautiful sight of Capilano Reservior and the Lions. Then, walk down to the hatchery.

Easy 90 minutes hike up, and 60 minutes hike down. Enjoy the panoramic view of Deep Cove and the surrounding area. Make sure to look around the beautiful village of Deep Cove before or after the hiking. Try Honey's Doughnut, which is Kate Winslet's favorite.
