Granville Island is great for walking around. During the summer there are lots of street musicians around the area. The Public Market is very popular for local produce, fares and there is a food court. There is a Kids Market as well.
It gets very busy especially during the summer and on a sunny day. Lots of free parking but it can be hard to find.

You can see totem poles, walk under the Lions Gate Bridge, and go through a few beaches on your way and there are concession stands and a couple restaurants if you need a break and bite to eat!
