My favourite walks and sightseeing
Walk from the villa along scenic Manly Beach around to Shelley Beach. From here there is a easy to moderate bush walk through national park. You will pass the iconic 'Castle on the Hill' and have views all the way to Palm Beach. Don't miss the historical military sites as you make your way to North Head. Choose between a coffee/lunch at Bella Vista (you will agree with the name when you're gazing out through the heads of Sydney harbour under the giant fig trees), or continue on one of the many paths and exhibits. The small museum will give a great overview of the area including interesting historical information. The War Memorial area has been beautifully crafted and worth the short walk.
There are three lookouts around the loop of the North Head Scenic Drive. You will be rewarded with truly spectacular views of Sydney, the Heads and dramatic cliffs.

From Manly, begin the iconic harbourside walk to the Spit Bridge. You can do the whole walk which is about two hours one way or just enjoy the easy stroll from Manly to Forty Baskets. From Forty Baskets, it is highly recommended to continue for another ten minutes through the National Park to Reef Beach. This is one of my favourite harbourside beaches and beautiful for a swim while you look back at the ferries making their way to Manly.

Just a ten-minute walk from the villa and you will be on this magical boardwalk. Keep your eye out for dolphins and whales here.
Walk down to Freshie Beach and continue to the ocean lap pool. Go up the stairs and around the headland and you will soon be on the boardwalk. At Curl Curl (10 minutes max) there is a lovely cafe and another 50m ocean lap pool.
