Boston is not far from Brockton. Boston is a must see if visiting MA. For cheaper ways of getting there, I suggest taking an Uber to Braintree station. Hopping on the red line and it will take you to Boston. It is completely worth it. Brockton also has the purple line which can give you access to Boston as well for a bit more.
