Iba pang bagay na dapat tandaan
The sound of the surf, whispering wind moving shimmering leaves, the scent of wild flowers and herbs stimulated all your senses on arrival. What good therapy for stress, sit here and just take it all in and your troubles will just float away in this perfect location. The 5 holiday homes are set in a new african-mediterranean style building that nestles in pastures between mature trees only 50 metres from the beach. You have private access to the beach via a short track that passes beautiful horses and the odd chicken and turkey. The Beach is wide and sandy with a few rock pool areas to explore and washed clean twice a day by a pristine deep blue Atlantic ocean. This definitely is a piece of secret Spain.

Zahora Beach - 3000 metres long and 40 metres wide – is in the Cape of Trafalgar (next to the Caños de Meca). The beach, with its fine sand and ideal wind conditions, is perfect for Windsurfing, Sailing and, occasionally, Surf and Bodyboard. The beach starts in the area of Mangueta where, in the middle of the last century, the old Civil Guards Headquarters used to be located (the building has since been knocked down) and it comes to an end at the famous Trafalgar Lighthouse.

Besides the wonderful sunsets, the most spectacular aspect of this beach is the huge reef that appears at low tide, together with the formation of an enormous lagoon with shallow water, where the youngest members of the family can enjoy bathing in complete safety. Fishing is also very popular on this beach, especially on the reef mentioned above.

Without doubt, Zahora is an ideal place to spend a holiday, whether as a family, with a partner, or unaccompanied. The area offers all essential services, thus ensuring nobody is in need of anything. The beauty of Zahora can be appreciated from all angles. A leisurely stroll at dusk, the breathtaking sunset, a restful siesta and the abundance of nature make Zahara a perfect place to spend some unforgettable days. Quality of life in abundance.

Zahora is the perfect base for discovering the charms of the province of Cádiz and the Costa de la Luz. Located in the centre of the coast of Cádiz, there are nearby destinations of great interest that are barely an hour’s drive away; such as Tarifa, Vejer, Conil or Zahara de los Atunes...

Location: for those who want get away from the hustle and bustle of the big resorts. You may be tempted to stock up with food, hide your car keys and spend all your time relaxing within the environs of your holiday home, however there is so much to do and see. You can be in the heart of old Cadiz in 40 min or sitting in a bar on top of the world in one of the famous 'Pueblos Blancos' white hill towns, sipping the famous local sherries. There are three in close proximity, Medina Sidonia, famous for the Duke of Medina who led the Armada against England. Arcos de la Frontera, where they make tasty sweets and cakes. Vejer, where you can see the Atlas mountains of Africa across the sea.

Activities: If you ever get tired of sight seeing you can enjoy activities like golf, sailing, surfing, fishing and horse riding to name just a few of the pursuits open to those of an energetic nature. Of course whilst you decide how to spend your days, you can have a dip in the sea, followed up by a barbecue using the traditional stone charcoal oven, and sip your cool sangria under a shaded area and perhaps that this is all you want to do.

CASARA is 5 minutes from the Natural Park of Acantilado and Pinar de Barbate. It is an authentic, ecological treasure of the area. It is a forest that was created artificially at the end of the 19th century after carrying out a reforestation process, in order to preserve the dry, sandy earth.

However, the park is not just a forest; it also boasts a coast line of considerable natural and scenic value and majestic cliffs, up to 100 metres high, which provide shelter to a great representation of Mediterranean avifauna. The Natural Park of Acantilado and Pinar de Barbate is not too big to explore and it is possible to plans all types of excursions: on foot, by bike or on horse.

Visitors cannot miss making a trip to the Torre de Meca, situated to the west of the park. The watchtower, 170 metres high, stands on the summit of the mountain with the same name. The tower can be reached by following the old Barbate road (that circles the mountain before joining the current local road which runs from Caños to Barbate) and taking a right-turn at the summit.

Another option is to continue on as far as the Torre del Tajo. There are two ways to reach the tower: either by road, turning right at a signposted turning before reaching Barbate, or from Los Caños, by walking through the pine forest, going along the edge of the cliffs up to the tower. The area of the Tajo is especially interesting. Fences have been placed on the cliffs and from this height visitors are offered the opportunity to contemplate the wonderful view: the vastness of the sea, the reefs under the cliffs, the coast of Barbate and Zahara and, on clear days, it is possible to make out the coast of northern Africa, from Tangier to Yebel Musa.

Cádiz is the province with the highest number of protected areas in the whole of Andalusia. Birds are the most characteristic animals in the province, since it is on the path of the great migrations towards Africa. Many of the species are in danger of extinction and the natural parks allow the birds to reproduce in an ideal environment.

I am from Cadiz, coming to Zahora Beach since before I was born and at the age of 18, I flew away. I studied in Madrid, Copenhagen (Denmark) and California (USA), where I started to fall in love with the mix of cultures and flavours. In 2006 I started working for an American company and all the money I earned was invested in my dream, CASARA. I have worked in international press and communications in Egypt, Angola, Maldives, Iraq, Ghana, Botswana, Slovakia, Turkey, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Puerto Rico. The work was exhausting and when I had holidays, I came to Cadiz to "fine-tune" CASARA. Here I realised that I slept better, felt better and that this area had a healing effect. There is nothing I love more than travelling, my heart is full of memories and experiences from all these countries. I travelled for work and also to disconnect from work. I was one of those crazy people who knew the airports better than the streets of her city. After having a life like in a movie, interesting, funny and exhausting, stories to write a book and also some stories to keep me awake at night, I decided to stop and travel in Asia for 1 year. During this period I realised that I missed my roots and returned to Cadiz in 2017 to dedicate myself 100% to CASARA. The return was not easy, but I knew I was where I wanted to be and I was doing what I most wanted to do in the world, conceiving and organising CASARA, building an oasis of peace and tranquillity. I consider myself a nomad and a traveller, I have been to more than 40 countries and thanks to my international experience, I gained a global vision of what hospitality is and how valuable it is to feel at home. Call me a romantic, but I believe in love, friendship, local commerce and sustainable development. We go through life so fast that we forget what is really important. My passions are CASARA, meeting new people, trying new flavours, living new experiences, travelling, running, cycling and sharing laughs with friends. I consider myself addicted to life. "Thanks to life that has given me so much", yes, thanks to life for having given me a dream life and also, thanks to my dear father, thanks to my dear mother for always being my pillar and thanks to all the people who have supported me. My aim is that the guest always finds a welcoming atmosphere, beautiful and bright spaces, friendly people and things made with love. I try to keep our prices affordable and accessible to most people so that the cottages can be experienced and enjoyed. I consider myself to be a very detailed and helpful person and I am very excited that you will discover this little piece of Andalusia and thus help the development of this wonderful region. I would be glad to help you find the house that suits you and discover what will become your favourite places.
