The Rooftop Penthouse is a 5-star holiday or get-away apartment situated in Minusio. From here you can enjoy impressive sunny mountain and lake landscape views looking left from Tenero all the way over to Locarno/Ascona and across the bright blue Lake Maggiore to Italy. It’s an ideal holiday home for those seeking nature, culture, holiday variety, tranquility and/or sporting activities. Its unique location allows you to be completely in nature or in the city center within a few minutes’ drive. You are 2-3 minutes from the beach promenade and the boardwalk with is a street away, where you can also rent regular or e-bikes.
Thanks to its optimal location, you can reach the Piazza Grande in Locarno by walking along the lake side in up to 20-25 minutes or reach the cable car to the mountain of Cardada-Cimetta or walk to the very famous Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso in 45 minutes from there. Shopping is less than 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot to Minusio village center with a Coop-, Migros- and Denner convenience stores, a post office, bank, pharmacies, bakery, bars, kebab shop traditional Ticino restaurants and pizzerias. The next street over are two gas stations with its deli/grocery and car wash open 7 days a week.
THE SPACE
The Rooftop Penthouse is situated on one floor over the entire apartment building. Thanks to the sensible room layout and the quality infrastructure, privacy is guaranteed. A private elevator takes you directly from the indoor garage into the private inner entrance area of the penthouse. There is space for a car in the garage. One FOB garage door opening is provided and a second car parking space is possible upon request.
THE LIVING and DINING with OPEN KITCHEN
The living room has a magnificent fireplace and an open-space kitchen (50 m2), from which you have a unique 180° panoramic view while cooking, eating or simply while sitting on the sofa. From the living room you have direct access to the terrace and its breathtaking views. The wood dining room table elongates for up to 8 persons. On the terrace area just outside the kitchen is an outdoor table with place for 6 people and two retractable awnings. From the living room another outdoor table elongates for up to 8 people.
From the living room and spacious terrace, it is possible to see the sun rising over the mountains (Monte Camoghè) and watch it set behind the Monte Gridone. The view of the sparkling Lake Maggiore is breathtaking and, in the evening, you can see the lights of the cities of Locarno and Ascona shining. The living rooms side of the terrace has two retractable awnings.
MASTER BEDROOM (23 m2)
The master bedroom offers a magnificent view of the Lago Maggiore and direct access to the terrace and is equipped with a double bed (160x200 cm), two dressers, night table, built-in closets and full-length mirror. The ensuite bathroom is a dream and contains a double sink, a jacuzzi bath and toilet. The room is also equipped with an electronic high-adjustable desk with Herman Miller office chair.
VINC BEDROOM (12 m2)
The garden bedroom is furnished with a double bed (160x200 cm), night table and sliding door mirrored wardrobe. Next to the garden room in the hallway, are additional build-in closets and the 2nd bathroom with sink, toilet and shower.
LAKE ROOM / OFFICE (16 m2)
The lake room offers a magnificent view of the Lago Maggiore and direct access to the terrace and the tropical flora. This room is furnished with an electronic high-adjustable desk with Herman Miller office chair and a sofa-bed suitable for 1-2 guests.
AIR CONDITIONING
The air conditioning (present in every room) can be individually controlled which can be most welcome during hot days during summer months.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is equipped with fridge, oven, glass-ceramic stove with hotplate, kettle, toaster, microwave, raclette oven, fondue pot and a Jura automatic coffee machine (highest Swiss Quality coffee machine).
LAUNDRY ROOM
The laundry room is on the main floor with washer, dryer, iron & ironing board, vacuum cleaner, wash basin and a second fridge with deep freeze.
BATHROOMS
The apartment has two bathrooms. One in the ensuite master bedroom with jacuzzi bath and toilet. The second bathroom is in the main hallway and includes a glass paneled shower with rain-shower head, toilet and sink. Both bathrooms are fully equipped with towels, a hair dryer, soap and shampoo.
GYM & SPA
A Kettler treadmill, a Lifefitness cross trainer (elliptical machine), a Bremshey incline exercise bike and a Bellicon trampoline are available downstairs in the fitness room. The wood paneled room with mirrors includes a steam bath that includes adjustable hot to cold shower options.

The 1000 Mbit/s fiber optic Internet meets the highest demands for a fast Internet connection, WIFI connectivity in every room.
TV/MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT
The apartment is equipped with the latest entertainment electronics. 5 flat-screen televisions throughout the rooms and a Bose surround sound system which not only provides pleasant entertainment inside the apartment but also outside on the terrace. Netflix, YouTube premium and Spotify premium are all registered and included.
TERRACE
The terrace has over 70 Mediterranean and exotic plants including an olive tree grove, a lemon and a lime tree, a kumquat tree and a Zen-garden with sun loungers, recliner chairs, garden chairs and an aperitif table. Jasmin and Bougainvillea decorate the terrace railings. A 6-person hot tub jacuzzi is at your disposal with pre and post shower hose. And the terrace is illuminated at night to enjoy late night alfresco dining with outstanding panoramic views of the mountains and lake.
