Elm Lodge has private parking area right beside the apartment a ramp leads onto the deck. A set of French doors are the entry. It is essentially a large room, 7.5 metres x 5 metres with a 3-metre high ceiling. It is set up for a single person or couple. Has a small lounge/ study area with a lovely outlook, comfortable armchairs, a small table, a large study desk positioned under the window and a TV mounted on the wall. The basic galley kitchen is well equipped cutlery, crockery and utensils, bar fridge & a variety of portable options for cooking inside, microwave, toaster, toasted sandwich press, and good storage. The small dining table is positioned nearby and is extendable. The bedroom alcove has a good quality and comfortable queen bed, bedside tables, hanging rack and set of draws. A separate spacious bathroom which includes the toilet and a large shower 1.6 m x 1 m. All linen, towels & bathrobes provided, bed made up. It is surrounded by an extensive garden, has outdoor furniture, peaceful garden views and a barbeque available on request.
Set on 2 acres, Sea Mist was purchased as a subdivision in 1998. The garden and house were also designed then and given council approval the following year. The extensive gardens incorporate both design ideas that Edna Walling used and Bill Mollison and David Holmgren developed with their Permaculture principals. The gardens were established over a number of years to follow, aiming to be as sustainable as possible.
Although the block has town water connected, for most of the year it runs totally on tank water. The wastewater is recycled and used to water the gardens.
We have an organic orchard and vegetable gardens that use companion planting and successive crop rotation. Guest are free to spend time in the garden and pick what is in the garden to use in cooking meals.

A secluded getaway, Sea Mist is positioned at the end of The Great Ocean Road. Just a short walk from Logans Beach Whale Nursery and the picturesque Hopkins River. Logans Beach Day Spa and a female gym is 3-minute walk up the road from the apartment. A historic restaurant, on the Hopkins River about a 15-minute stroll across the bridge and along the river walk past the boat moorings. They are well known for delicious food, a great place to go for tea or weekend breakfast. There is also a walking /riding track and boardwalk promenade that follows the foreshore and finishes at the Break Water passing the Warrnambool Surf Club, Lake Pertobe and some terrific restaurants, Simons and The Pavilion to note, which is a great place for breakfast or lunch.
The CBD is only 5 minutes drive from the property great variety of restaurants, art galleries, gift shops, boutiques and speciality shops as well as supermarkets and other large chain stores such as Target.

I am always available to help guests with questions and information. Happy to enjoy a chat over a refreshment if I am home, text me to arrange a time if you are keen to have a chat. I am a teacher, lfe coach, artist, an avid gardener, permaculture designer and often in the garden.
We will not visit you once you book in unless you initiate interaction. The enjoyment of your stay, including your privacy, is important to us.
Having said that I am happy to drop in and get the heating going in the apartment on cool days if you are out late afternoon and would like to come back to a warm space, or put the airconditioning on a hot day. Will also send messages when there are things of interest happening at our block or in town eg wildlife in the garden or a special festival or market that is on somewhere close by.
