Sage Cottage is located in the beautiful Pottawatomie County in our own Oaklore Forest. The cozy cottage sleeps two, has a mini-kitchen and 3-piece bathroom with stand-up shower. The kitchen is equipped with a small bar sink, double hot plate, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, kuerig, toaster oven, small fridge and cooking essentials. There is a bistro table, picnic table, breakfast table inside! Free Wi-Fi, Hot tub open all year, robes, see "other things to note" for all additional info

We are on a small, rural road and our property dead ends the road. We are far away from any city, it's usually very quiet, and serene. Flowers, tropicals, vegetable garden and beautiful Oaks, not to mention visible stars at night, make the forest feel magical!

We are Shawn and Monica McKinley, Oaklore Forest dwellers. :) We are very excited to have the opportunity to have you out to experience the magic of our property. When we first found the land, we were both shocked and enamored by it's raw beauty. One of the first things I noticed was a particular tree...the one that is just to the immediate east of the cottage next to the deck. (You'll find it) It was such a lovely tree. Certainly got my attention, then I started looking around and discovered it was in the midst of a natural tree circle, which has become the "circle fire-pit". Where the cottage sits now, was my first favorite. We decided to share this wonderful place with others and welcome you to come BE IN NATURE!

We can be available for small tours around the property if you would like, (Using social distancing) I usually give a small walk thru upon your arrival to show you where everything is. We then "get out of your space" and you will have the entire back area to yourself with complete privacy.During Covid, please let me know if you would prefer "self check-in", I can just waive at you from a distance!! We are adamant about giving our guests their privacy and making sure they are very comfortable here! :).
