Kona Oasis rental is a private entranced apartment attached and part of my primary residence.

BEFORE YOU BOOK:

* Maximum of TWO GUESTS ONLY.

* The bedroom is similar to a garden unit in Manhattan. It is darker and not bright.

* We do not offer air conditioning, however, the rental unit is located at the 700 ft elevation which is 5 to 8 degrees cooler than readings at the airport and downtown Kona. We have ceiling fans in the bedroom and kitchen. The entire lanai is shaded and usually, there is a breeze.

* A rental car is highly recommended. While we are located 3 miles from the center of town. It is not conducive to walk or bike.

* The High-Speed Internet streaming TV has access to online streaming sites such as Netflix, Hulu, PBS, etc. but no actual channels. So if you want to watch HBO, Showtime, or similar premium channels please make sure to bring your own passwords for access codes.

* The efficient indoor/outdoor kitchen comes with two induction tabletop burners, Keurig coffee machine, an electric kettle, toaster, and a full-size refrigerator. If you plan to cook elaborate eight-course Blue Ribbon meals, it might be a challenge.

* When it rains, the outer lanai with the plants gets wet and leaves the outdoor table and chairs unusable. No worries, we still have a table and chairs in the kitchen.

* The driveway is short but steep and could be a problem for somebody with problem knees. Level street parking in front of the house is normally available to make it easier to get in and out of a vehicle.

* Wild chickens and coqui frogs can be a pest.

* Plants are watered periodically on the lanai. However, we normally wait until guests leave for the day.

* DO NOT flush anything other than human waste and toilet paper down the toilet.

Residents of Kona for the past 40 years, we have extensive knowledge of the local restaurants and activities To maximize your vacation time, I will gladly do the initial grocery shopping for you at your expense. Sometimes our international triathlon guests are unable to get a rental car upon arrival and end up being stuck at the airport. Do not worry. Call me and I will come and pick you up expecting nothing in return. I have a SUV and I'm sure your bike case will fit. The two cats that allows us to live with them are PJ and Runway. They are very friendly and will let you to pet them, however, they are not allowed in the rental unit bedroom or rental kitchen. The idea is to give you an unforgettable vacation with our endless welcome and service.
